Life
Recently divorced(not my idea), as Greg left me in 2001 after 22yrs of marriage for a younger woman. Who would of guessed?Am still having a difficult time dealing with all of this, even though it has been 4 yrs. I guess I am just trying to hold my own now, and focus on raising my girls. Been an oncology nurse in the Bay Area since 1981. Have 2 great girls who are my pride and joy... Laura, who is 19, is a freshman at SDSU, and Andrea age 12 who is in Jr. High. I have 5 cats who keep me company, and newly acquired a palo...Expand for more
mino mare named Ellie. I currently am recovering from knee surgery, so I hope to heal soon to get back riding again!
Workplace
Graduated from Samuel Merritt School of Nursing after 3 yrs of college before that...worked at Eden Hospital in the Oncology Unit for 10yrs 1981-1991. They closed the unit in '91, so I went to work at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center in Berkeley where I am today. Started out in their Medical Oncology dept, then in '98 went to their Radiation Oncology dept. Very fulfilling job and rewarding.
