Christina's Story
I've lived all over the place since I left high school. After graduation, I moved to Acworth. About June of 96, I moved up to Ellijay, in Gilmer County and lived there for 3 or 4 years. Texas was for Basic Training, CAlifornia for tech school. My first duty station was Elmendorf AFB, in Anchorage, Alaska. THat was for 3 years, and I lived in the Government Hill section of town. e, Virginia, and have been there for a little over 3 years. I was stationed in Iraq for a little over 4 months, in Balad City. Want to know what Iraq was like? HOT AS HELL. 130+degrees during the day, 97 degrees at night. Hell is a place on Earth, it's Iraq in summer. I got out of the Air Force, but my husband is still in, and we now live in Littleport, England. We moved into base housing in November of 2009, on RAF Lakenheath.
