Life
My husband Gary (retired Atlanta air traffic controller) and I moved from Jonesboro, Ga., to Gainesville, Ga., to be closer to the Most Perfect Grandchildren Ever -- Grayson, 18, and Wyatt, 13. Their parents are our daughter Katie (nursing education, working on PhD) and her husband Jay (Gainesville chief of police).
Our son Kurt and his wife Kate received their psychology PhDs from the University of Western Ontario. I would tell you what their PhD theses are, but I don't understand a word of of them. : ) They live in Rhode Island with their (Spanish Galgo) rescue greyhounds Javi, Chela and Cortez.
Gary (Tennessee native) and I met in the United States Air Force (he was an air traffic controller; I worked in avionics navigation, mostly on F-4 Phantoms). Our daughter was born in Germany, our son in Michigan.

e GI Bill and earned an associate's degree in journalism. I worked in banking and the newspaper business for many years and then for Home Instead, caring for seniors (older than I am!), so they can stay in their homes.
I never thought I'd live in the South, much less for this long! But now can't imagine dealing with snow and cold and all that. I miss Horseneck Beach more than I can say though. Thank God some of the family lives in New Bedford and Westport so I can get my beach fix. The downside to living near the Georgia mountains is distance from the coast (about six hours) -- makes me feel landlocked and claustrophobic, although living near Lake Lanier helps a LOT.
Many people have left their "signature" on my page, and several have emailed me, but I hope lots more do! I loved HFHS and have the best memories; I'd like to keep that link alive.
