Christine's Story
Life
I spent a couple of years around Grand Rapids going to school and working before moving to Durango, CO in 1992. My three years in Durango were spent snowboarding, climbing, and generally goofing off. While in Durango I met my husband Val and we spent about a year traveling in South America together before moving to Denver, CO in 1996. We were married on Hoosier Pass outside of Breckenridge, CO in 1997. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1999 with a B.A. in Art History and in 2003 with a Master of Social Science in Cultural Anthropology and History. I started working for the National Park Service in 1999 and we moved to Golden, CO in 2000. I spent two years in Jackson Hole, WY working as the museum curator for Grand Teton National Park and moved back to Gol...Expand for more
den, CO in 2004. I currently work for the NPS Intermountain Regional Office in Denver as a cultural anthropologist in the Office of Indian Affairs and American Culture. My husband Val and I have two beautiful children - the best kids ever!! We have two dogs and live in a funky little neighborhood surrounded by lots of open space along the foothills just west of Denver, CO where we enjoy snowboarding, hiking, climbing, and biking. Whenever possible, we also have fun checking out live music in Denver, going to museums, gardening, eating out and cooking at home (Val is a chef!), and traveling anywhere and everywhere. Our door is always open to our friends and family, so if you are up for a Colorado vacation and looking for a place to stay or someone to show you around - just let me know!
