Christine's Story
Life
After high school, I abruptly moved to Rutland, VT. for about a year (until the fall of 1999). While in VT. (with my mother and step-father), I worked to pay for college... Now, several years later, I live with my long-time friend, and now husband, Brett. He and I bought a house in Lancaster, MA, where he is a firefighter in town, and a representative of Firematic Supply Company in Sterling, MA. He and I first met back in 1999, while I was pledging Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority (he's a brother of Sigma Pi Fraternity so we were bound to be introduced to each other at one point or another). So... That's about it. That's where I'm at now. Thanks for checking out my bio!
School
Well... Looking back, I was never the "cool kid" in school. Naturally, I had a few close friends, and I hung out with them from time to time. But, I never seemed to have a super-exciting social life (unfortunately, my dysfunctional family life kept me from thoroughly enjoying my H.S. experience). Anyway, I did eventually find my niche in Music (for those of you who remember or care, I was also a really bad cheerlearder and an o.k. J.V./Varsity volleyball player). Anyway, in the music dept., Marc Winer (the choral director at the time) "fine-tuned" (yes, there was pun intended) my singing, and coached me through my first on-stage musical (Okl...Expand for more
ahoma), and role as leading lady.
Now, for all of you who like gossip, here is my answer to an "important" (yes, that was sarcasm) question... Who were my crushes in school? Well... I can't reveal names!!! However, I will say that there were a couple of people on my mind throughout my four years at MHS (one crush was in the class of '98 and the other crush was actually in the class of '95). Maybe you know who you are and maybe you don't... I'll never tell... Finally, if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't! High school definitely had its ups and downs, and quite frankly, it had many more downs than ups. So, there's no need to go back.
College
College was the best experience of my life! I was an elementary education/interdisciplinary studies major at Fitchburg State College... While I was there, I worked for FSC athletics, played intramural sports, joined Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and joined the FSC Chamber Choir. All of that plus a lot of partying and a little bit of schoolwork here and there... No wonder it took me five years to finish my degree... haha!
Workplace
Currently, I teach in Lexington, MA. I am an instructional assistant and an ABA therapist for a fourth-grade girl with autism. I've been teaching there since I left The New England Center for Children (Southboro, MA) in August of 2006.
