Christine's Story
Life
I am living in Arizona. We moved here in 2001 after 4 1/2 years in Germany. My oldest son is soon 24 and my youngest Matthew is forever 19. I am proud of the wonerful young men they have become. My youngest son Matthew was murdered in 2015 by 2 people who shot him multiple times, so they could rob him of one dollar, a leased cell phone and an old beater car. They are both sitting in jail and we are praying that justice will be served.
After high school I worked as an administrative assistant first for Mutual of Omaha then for the State of Iowa. Now I am a domestic engineer and I love it! I know my boys appreciate me being home. I do miss working so much, but I had an injury to my back. In 1998(the whole spine was involved)so I am unable to go to work at all. I am okay with that because God has plans for me and everything happens for a reason.
I am still silly and love to laugh and tell jokes because laughter is the absolute best medicine in the world. I wish I could move closer to Iowa because of my mom. I will have to see where God leads me.

Workplace

he severe and profound handicapped children at the Camp Lejeune schools and I worked at a Video Store. I moved back to Iowa and went to work for the telemarketing company that operated out of the Pacific Junction School building. I was a manager there for a short time. I went back to work at Mutual of Omaha. The second time around I was again an administrative assistant but in the small group underwriting department. Then I went on to work for the State of Iowa Department of Human services. I first worked in the Child Support Recovery office in Council Bluffs. I did that for about 4 1/2 years. Then I moved on to the DHS office in Glenwood. I only worked there for a few months before I started having trouble with my second pregnancy and decided to quit and make "MOM" my full time job :) It has been my favorite job of all of them. I did start working on base when we moved to Germany though. I worked first waiting tables for a Greek restaurant on base until I was hired at the NCO club. I worked many positions there. I started as a night cook supervisor. Eventually I started working in the vault with all of the money the club generated and stored for the slot machines, on occasion I managed the club's bingo program until a permanent bingo person could be hired. The extra money came in handy and I worked nights so we wouldn't have to put the kiddos in daycare.
