Christine's Story
Life
Well, after I graduated I went to the 13th grade at RCC....I thought that I wanted to become a physical therapist, but the football team at RCC thought otherwise an made a mockery of me, so I transfered to UCR where I THOUGHT that I would become a teacher...while I went to UCR I worked at Disneyland (BORING!) and dropped 100 lbs. Now I work for the Moreno Valley Unified School District in their Audiologically Handicapped (which means the kids are hard-of-hearing or deaf) either tutoring or interpreting. I like to do volunteer work with my German Shepherd, Eden Meena, going to hospitals and brightening peoples' day! I still love writing stories and poems (as everyone in my class should know :-)) and actually got published a couple of years ago in an ameteur poets' book! Now I'm back at RCC (No, I didn't graduate from UCR) plu...Expand for more
gging along in the Interpreter progam...Oh, and remember my TERRIBLE knees? Well, they're still terrible and I've had 6 surgeries between the two of them!
School
Well, I attend Nueview Elementary School from 1986-1991, then went to Mountain Shadows Middle School until 1994, then I went to high school at Bethel Christian in Riverside...I graduated in 1998 with honors...after high school I went to RCC (the 13th grade, as it was known at Bethel) until 2000, then I transfered to UCR and stayed there until 2002, then transfered BACK to RCC and have been here ever since.....Every time I've transfered schools I've changed my major.....I went from wanting to be a physical therapist to a teacher to an interpreter for the Deaf and that is what I'm trying to accomplish now....I am about 1/2 way through the interpreter program and I love it!
