MY CAREER
I joined the Navy in September of 1986, right after high school, and have lived in Florida, California and Virginia. During my last year in the service, I got the opportunity to go to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Israel and France. I got out of the Navy in 1992 and moved back to South Carolina. I had a job waiting for me when I got home with a company that I had worked for during school. In 1995, I began working in a machine shop so that I could go to college and ended up graduating "Magna Cum Laude" from Limestone College in December of 1997. In April of 1998, I started working for State Farm Insurance as the Facilities Manager at their eastern distribution center in Rock Hill. In the summer of 2000, I began working on my MBA and graduated from Winthrop University in December of 2001. In January of 2002, I started working for Wachovia as a Project Controller/Financial Analyst in the Merger Project Office. In April of 2004, I became a Finance Manager in Computing and Network Services. In January of 2006, I became a Senior Business Consultant in Retirement and Investment Products Group Technology. MY FAMILY
I met my wife in San Diego, CA in 1989. In April of 1990, we were married onboard "The Finest City" yacht in the San Diego harbor. Later that year, we moved to Virginia. In 1992, we came home to South Carolina where Candace and I bought our first house in Rock Hill in 1993. It was in a very charming older neighborhood (we were younger than some of our neighbors grandkids). On September 23, 1996, we had a daughter named Kelsey Maddison. She is a beautiful little girl and the best birthday present I have ever had (my b-day is exactly two weeks before hers). In January of 1999, we moved into our second house. We decided that we were outgrowing our first home and wanted to build something new in a neighborhood that had some children. We are now living in a really great neighborhood near Leslie. On April 21, 1999, we had a son named Cameron Banks. He looks just like me when I was a little boy. He is completely different from his big sister, which has taken a good deal of adjustment by his mother. He is 100% boy and has absolutely NO fear, which makes his momma crazy.
