Christopher's Story
Life
After high school I joined the Service. not to much to tell really. Seems like such a long time ago now. I spent two years in Germany where 6 months of that was spent in Macedonia on border patrol. In January of 97. I reported to Fort Riley, Kansas. It still wasn't home but close enough. I was stationed there for about a year and a half. That was where I met my wife. We had dated for about six months and then moved in together. she was a K-State Student at the time. A few months later I was Honerably discharged form the Army. My wife and I were married in winter of 98 shortly after my first daughter was born. We lived in Manhattan, Ks for almost a year then moved to Topeka. For about another year we lived in a small rental house, while we sunk our feet in. After a few different jobs here and there. My Wife and I decided we were tired of renting. We didn't have much luck in finding something we liked so we came to the conclusion that we were going to build our own. It took about 6 months to build and we were finally able to move in. We've been here now for going on 8 years and I would guess we will probally be here for awhile. Topeka,Ks is a nice place to live. not to small, not to big. Works for me. Although it gets boring at times. For the past 7 years I've been working for the Topeka Housing Authority doing a wide varitey of jobs. My main position curnently is the Assistant Faciliti...Expand for more
es Director. I like it. it's never the same day and it's always busy, busy, busy.
My wife (Lisa) has been working for Blue Cross Blue Shield in the claims department for about the past several years and recently was promoted to a level four. which really doesn't man a whole lot other than more money, but who doesn't want more of that.
Autumn, my oldest daughter is 10 now. She just finished 4th grade. It's amazing what kids have to learn today so early in thier educations. she loves school and has friends in all the grades there. we still trying to figure out how it is that she is so popular. She loves to draw like her daddy, and loves to sing and dance. she really looking foward to the summer and what fun it will bring.
My youngest daughter ( Victoria ) She just turned 7. She's the trouble maker of the family. you can't leave her alone for more than a minute and she getting into something. she's alot of work. I have a feeling she's going to keep us on our toes for a long time to come. she just finished 1st grade and is going to become a big 2nd grader next year. she can't wait. she's my Tomboy, she likes to help daddy out in the yard and in the garage.
Our Friends say we live in a Zoo, we currently have 3 dogs, 3 cats, like 20 fish in three different aquariums, 2, birds and a rabbit. they can be alot of fun but it's like having a whole bunch more of kids.
