Christopher's Story
Life
(I'm too cheap to get a paid account. But I'm very easy to find online.)
I used to be the most socially awkward person in the school. These days, I'm still somewhat poor in social situations, but I have improved (the freak-outs are gone, completely).
I'm worming my way into the computer games industry, which I hope to improve by injecting into it a whole bunch of managerial sanity. I'm also a member of Toronto's anime fandom, being an exec of UTARPA (the anime club at UofT) and gaming staff at Anime North (Canada's biggest anime convention). Other interests include public speaking (I'm a member of a Toastmasters club do...Expand for more
wntown), indie music, and mountain biking.
College
I started off in T127 (Computer Programmer) but after the end of it, switched to T201 (Computer Programmer/Analyst). Three years are better than two.
Of course, I slacked. I slacked fast and I slacked hard. And it shows in my grades. One of my core courses (Business Communications II) I had to retake part-time because I failed it, like I did my general education courses. Teach me to be doing my own thing at the same time.
But when I've actually bothered to apply myself part-way in my classes, the results are great. It seems I can pull through when the need is there for it.
