Christopher's Story

Life So just what the heck have I been doing with my life? More than one would imagine. I have been attending Baker College working on my BBA in Management degree since June of 2002. I am now, or shortly will be a Senior. Only one more year to go! Furthermore, I have been on the Dean's List for the past three year with a GPA of 3.89. Moreover, I am also pursuing a certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. This has been on hold but will begin again shortly. Long term educational goals are a Master’s in Business Administration and eventually a PhD in Political Science. About me personally? I am now 40 years old, single and I work for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. On May 1, 2005, I was finally baptized and I am now a member of my church, Due West United Methodist in Marietta, GA. (who would have thought?) It gives me a great deal of peace in my life as I needed it. Moreover, my treasured possession; I have a crucifix, bought straight from the Vatican Gift store in Vatican City, Rome that was blessed by the late Pope John Paul II. I am a four-year veteran of the United States Air Force where my occupation was in Crypto Intelligence, stationed in West Germany for 3 1/2 years, with the 6915th Electronic Security Command. During that time, I traveled throughout parts of Germany, Austria, Italy and Corfu, Greece. My hobbies include stamp collecting (specifically plate-blocks stamps, First Day ...Expand for more
Covers or special commemorative issues); oil painting and I collect old stock and old bond certificates when I am able to, or should I say, afford to. I am also a novice writer. I co-authored a book of poetry and short stories titled, Between Light and Dark, published by the Writer’s Showcase Press of IUniverse in June 2001, available at all on-line bookstores. I will begin two new books out of three planned in the near future. One book will be based on the Books of the Bible; another one about my mom titled, Dear Mother; the third book will be titled, I TOOK MY LIFE to Jesus (Has begun). As you can see, I have a ton of writing to do that will keep me busy for a long time. In addition, I have written more than one hundred poems, three rough-draft feature film screenplays, and two dozen-song lyrics. However, nothing has been sold except for some of the poetry and short stories in the published book. Nevertheless, I do have one song lyric that was drawn up on a music lead-sheet by a musician in New York. I have not written or painted anything in two years because of time constraints, but it is still in my mind, itching to get out! Nevertheless, it is what I love. A future goal: Getting into politics is not out of the question. I am very political, a conservative Republican and I do not play political correctness. This is a lot of goal-related work, however, dreams are real and they do come true if you allow them to.
