Christopher's Story
Well, it is very interesting to come to this site and see all you people that I haven't seen in so many years that it is hard to count them.
Some of the people here have been in my thoughts over the years and some I had forgotten all about until I saw their profiles here. This has sure brought back some memories. Mostly pleasant ones and a few not so much so.
Although I dropped out of high school like a dumb ass, I did get my GED a few years later and went on to study computers.
I still have some family around the Pass area. My brother and a few of my sisters along with all the assorted nephews and nieces. The rest of us have pretty much scattered with the wind.
I have been living in NW Ohio for about 16 years now. I have been married and divorced twice. I'm in no hurry to try that again. I live alone with my dog and a few cats and I now only date women that don't want to get married either.
I have one daughter that is 25 years old now (also hard to imagine, they do grow up fast). She graduated from Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) about a year ago. No grandkids yet, unless you count my daughter's pit bull that she calls her baby.
Life has been interesting over the years. It has brought adventures and some valuable lessons. Most things did not go the way that I might have figured they would. A...Expand for more
reality that by now, I'm sure most of you are all too familiar with in your own lives. But as I always say, a life that goes the way it's planned is hardly worth living.
I have changed some over the years. The grey hairs seem to be multiplying for one thing. The Reagan and the Bush years have driven me to the far left in my political views and caused me to distrust our government. But my sister Marie tells me that I am fundamentally the same person. I still read far too much and I still have a strange sense of humor. I still love science fiction and I still dream of a day when the human race is able to overcome hate and fear and injustice. I still love to draw and to write stories when I find the time. I still get into trouble trying to help the underdog and I still get a crush on every pretty girl I see. Although I have a lot of friends here, I still have the same best friend that I had back in school (Lance) and we manage to keep in touch quite often despite the fact that we live in different states.
Well I'd better wrap this up before it turns into a damned book. So let me close with an invitation to anyone that wants to say hello to go ahead and drop me a message and I will try to respond as time permits.
