Christopher's Story
Life
Upon graduating from Mills I managed to get into CSM with a lofty HS GPA of 2.9.
I transferred to San Jose in '69, and joined the AFROTC program in '70, graduating in '72 with a major in Aeronautical Operations with an emphasis in aviation management, and minors in Business Administration and Aerospace Studies.
I married Mary Anne Waggo, from San Mateo HS ('67), after 5-years of dating off and on. (We met in March of '67.)
USAF flight school lasted 12-months, plus survival training, and then on to training in the F-4 Phantom, which I was fortunate enough to fly for 6-years.
We had our first son, Aaron, now an economist, in '78.
I left the USAF in '78, and managed to fail (5) physicals with major airlines, so I joined the California Air National Guard as a full...Expand for more
-time pilot and was very fortunate, again, to fly the
F-106, F-4, T-33, C-26 and F-16.
We had our second son, Brandon, now a fireman, in '81.
I retired in '94, from what was a wonderful way of life which certainly beat working for a living.
I am currently a general contractor and construction project manager working and living in Los Gatos, CA.
The construction business is quite satisfying and I enjoy building office space and clean/data room improvemments for the computer, bio-pharmacutical and bio-tech industries throughout the Greater Bay Area.
