Christopher's Story
Right after I graduated from Andrew Lewis via Viaud High School, and RCEC, I joined the Coast Guard. I served in Puerto Rico and Miami. After the Coast Guard, I moved to Syracuse, New York and got married. I married a WONDERFUL woman named Virginia (to remind me of where I was born and raised), and she goes by Ginny. We have two children, John Paul Jones, and Rhiannon (after the Fleetwood Mac song) Marie Jones. We lived up here in the cold north for about 20 years, then moved to Greensboro, and then Charlotte. After 911, my selling things came to a crashing halt due to the poor economy, so we moved back to New York for a few years. We then loaded up the truck once again and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida for three years. My wife and I ran into some more hardships after several years there, and even though we loved everything about Florida but the high prices, we moved once again back to Syberiacuse, NY. That is a play on words.
We currently live in Syracuse, but are planning on moving in late July or August back to the Car...Expand for more
olinas. Our daughter lives near Fayetteville, and our son is in the Army. He has been in for seven or eight years. He's been to Iraq, South Korea, and Germany. He is getting ready to move to Missouri for a few years, and is planning on getting married soon.
I hope this gets someone up to date on what I've been up to. I have spent 15 years in trucking, and about 10 in sales. My biggest claim to fame was being an extra in the comedy, 'Shallow Hal'. I was in several scenes. I even got to eat supper on the set with Jack Black, and Susan Ward, (who at the time was rated one of the top 10 hottest women in the world). I wasn't even speechless. We talked about NASCAR and moon shining. I plan on doing a lot of golfing in the Carolinas when we get moved. We're looking forward once again to leaving the north. We love the south. Once a rebel always a rebel I guess. My wife is a converted Yankee. She is from Syracuse, but hates it now. She has loved living in the south. Please write back, I would love to hear from you.
