Christopher's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended College in Marin (COM, IVC) for a while. I then worked at the Marin Independent Journal newspaper for 6 years until 1988 at which time I joined the U.S. Coast Guard. I have been in the Military for 19 years, have traveled all over the U.S. and abroad, but am currently stationed in Alexandria, Virginia. My wife Colleen and I live in Fredericksburg, VA and live there with our cat Max.
School
After SMH, I attended College of Marin and Indian Valley College for a little while. In '84, I moved to San Diego and went to school there for a semester but eventually moved back to Marin. I graduated Coast Guard Radioman school in '89 and have attended many techn...Expand for more
ical and trade schools (both Military and Civilian) since that time. I am presently attending college full-time in the Houston area as part of the Coast Guard's Advanced Education Program and working towards a degree in Information Techology.
Military
I decided to join the Coast Guard in 1988 because I wanted to see the world, meet new people and start a new career. It was probably the best thing I ever did for myself. I have met many great people over the years and enjoyed many challeging assignments including a 3 year tour at sea. I hope to retire by the end of the decade and start a new career in the civilian sector. Please see my Military page for all the places I have been assigned.
