Christopher's Story
"Life
Oh man, where to begin!? Survived the 60's barely. Although I am listed at Canterbury HS here also, I graduated from TC Williams in Alexandria VA 1969 then went to WOODSTOCK (1). Survived the 70's. disco, the 80's. Prez. Raygun. Been married 3 times (so far), have three kids 2 girls 1 boy from second marriage and 2 step-girls from third marriage. I went to TC in Fall of '68 because of the head-master at Canterbury, Robert W. Tobin. I couldn't be a tortured slave anymore, too much mental abuse from him on a daily basis. I was a professional drummer for a few years 69-78 . Avoided the Vietnam undeclared War (Alice's Restaurant). Married to Laura L for about 3 years, then traveled around moved to Colorado, married Joanne S then back to finish college, BS Electrical Eng. a year at Bell Labs, grad-school at GMU to get an MS in Computers and Electrical Eng, US Patent & Trademark Office 4 years full-time days while in law school full-time nights, single parent for a couple years, then remarried, JD and MSCEE, in private practice Patent Law at firms then solo from home office since then, it's the 99% of other lawyers that give us 1% a bad name. ("Look out kid, they keep it all hid, the pump don't work cause the vandals took the handle" thanks Bob .) For completing my 50th year of life on planet Earth completion I bought: HD Motorcycle (anyone remember my old BSA 250cc?), a hot tub (fits 7) , and a jet ski boat. Had a cat RIP. had a dog RIP. Currently still married to a potter/retired editor-e...Expand for more
conomist. So, what's it all about? How the heck do I know? Are we baby-boomers getting any Satisfaction yet? Whatever. Love, Peas and Carrots, please, give it a chance! Spammers, ID thieves, and other parasites: leave me alone. Chris
School at TC Williams Fall 68 I had:
Mr. Hinkle, Eng 12;
Col Bruce, Alg III;
Mlle Banyasz, French III. fantastic but I know almost no French anymore ;
Mr. Krause & Mr. Masters, Govt.; and
Ms. Simpson, Psych. no comment, but you know what I mean
College
Didn't get serious about college until about 10 year after graduation, did the music gig for a few years first, then straight through BS degree, year off at Bell Labs, then straight through MS and JD. What fun.
Workplace
I've been a car-wash attendant, truck driver, drummer, AV Tech, Grad Research Asst, Technical Writer, Patent Examiner, Patent Attorney, a parent, a single parent, a step-parent, and a grand-parent...but now I'm just a bum again, perhaps?
Military
Well, when my request for CO Conscientious Objector status was denied by Tricky Dick Nixon, and my lottery number was 83, I was made 1A and given a pre-induction physical, during which it was discovered that my slight curvature of the spine made me unfit for killing-burning villages-and generally making war on Vietnam, that, and my attitude which was "like heck I'll ever pick up a gun and kill another human being!" So, they made me a 4F and I served my country in the streets of DC protesting the war. All I am saying, is give peace a chance!"
