Christopher's Story
Life
i have been living in England for the past 20 years. I work as 'Education Team Leader' for a project in the east end of London called Conflict and Change. I develop, deliver and manage training programmes for young people & the adults who work with them in non-violent conflict and communication skills. We are currently developing a project working with young people caught up in gang related violence and activity. I am also an Anglican priest and occasionally officiate at services when needed.
I am married to Rosemarie (a second marriage, 2002) and have two adult children. My eldest, Patrick, was born in Zimbabwe and is 19. He works in Geneva and is about to get married. My daughter Sheila got married in 2005 and teaches at a local school here in the east end. We also have two boys at home: Simon, aged 21 and Thomas, aged 17. Rose works as a financial controller for a printing company.
After leaving La Salle I attended did a theological diploma. After a gap of a few years I finished by BA at Southeastern College (now University) in Lakeland, Fl; did an MA in Intercultural Studies at Wheaton College Grad School, Wheaton, Il; and recently completed another MA in Philosophy & Religion at Heythrop College, Univeristy of London. I am hoping to begin research for a Ph.D in the not too distant future. I am currently allowing a research proposal to 'percolate' and otherwise focusing energy on work related projects.
My hobbies include astanga yoga, marital arts, biking, reading, theatre & cinema. I also am interested in meditation, philosophy and the interface between Buddhism and Christianity. Cross cultural communciation remains a focus of practical and academic interest.
