Christopher's Story
Life
After a year at UNL, living with Kevin Martin*, I spent several years kicking around Europe (intermittently with Sue Schurkamp*, Ceci Mangus* and Marissa Howe*) Mexico (with college friends and running into Marisue Rigatuno*) and Omaha (hanging with no one of consequence - no offense Grubb*) before working for the Clinton Campaign in New Mexico in 1992. I went to college there, lived with Neal Jones* and earned a degree in Latin American Studies that I've never used. But not before taking a semester off to live in Boulder with Matt Jordan* where we hung out with Lon Breslow*. In 1996, I went to work at the Democratic National Committee in D.C., where I served in various capacities and helped plan 3 great parties: the Nominating Convention in Chicago, the Second Presidential Inaugural, and the First Inaugural for Governor Vilsack. In 1998, after not being invited to either my H.S. reunion or Angel Schrager*'s wedding, I decided to let P...Expand for more
resident Clinton* appoint me to his Administration. I served at the Department of Energy under Secretary Richardson*, where we lost several classified computers, were robbed of nuclear secrets and caught a spy who wasn't. By that time, being openly gay in the Administration had lost its novelty (I continue to be fashionably late to this date). In 2000, I was asked to assist Mrs. Clinton* in her bid for the US Senate. After which, I declined an offer to return to D.C., staying in New York City, where after several years with my partner, I find myself single again. I have picked up where I left off, living a semi-fabulous-semi-global-semi-famous existence (go ahead check I'm listed several times on Google.com*). I see the Clinton's intermittently, but more often than I see Chelsea (the girl not the gay ghetto of NYC - which I see far too often.) I'm glad to report that no baby is on the way.
