Christopher's Story
After college, took a job with Mearl Corp. in Peekskill as a technician in the quality lab. After a year or so had peaked to Technician Grade II, so I created a job for myself, Technician Grade III. Instant pay increase. But eventually they asked me to quit the union and join management (corrupt management at the time), and I declined, so I knew I had committed career suicide, and moved onto a new job. I took a position as a Chemical Process Engineer at Pure Tech in Carmel NY, and there I ran three departments including powder metallurgy, hot sinter press and process engineering. possible... and may well have caused a small China Syndrome), I left and moved to Florida. In both those previous companies I had done quality management system work (ISO 9001, etc.) so I formed Oxebridge Quality Resources, an ISO 9001 and AS9100 consulting company. I have worked there since. I am my own boss, so now when I fight with management it gets very interesting.
In 2008 I also started a TV production company here in Florida and am working to produce a comedy series targeted for prime time network release. It's a slow process, and as I write this no deal has been struck, but it's been a great learning experience. Many of you will remember my first passion was film and writing, so with this project I get to work in that area, while Oxebridge keeps my Florida mansion (kidding!) lit.
