Chrystal's Story
I was best known as that-girl-who-can-draw. I was mainly on the quiet side, but made friends easily enough. I remember my second grade teacher, Mrs. Forsythe. Best teacher ever, she really made the breakthrough on getting me into reading. I remember my third grade teacher was Ms. Derman. A series of events led my parents to pull me out of public school before I'd finished third grade. So I was gone by about '89. My brother Steven and sister Rachel were also pulled out.
I also remember my gym teacher, Mr. Cook, often referred to as Mr. Cookie. And I forget my music teacher's name, but I remember she had a purple bunny rabbit hand-puppet, which inclined her to make us sing Little Bunny Foo Foo like...a lot.
