Chuck Moore:  

I was acepted as a freshman at Stetson University for the 60-61 year instead of attending my senior year at Norland, so I missed many of the events and memories of Class of '61 alumni. That said, I will attend our 50th reunion. After typical college freshman year difficulties: deciding on a major, spending valuable study time chasing girls, and worrying about financing further tuition; I decided to take a break from formal education. I enlisted in the USMC, beginning a 20 year adventure that would include continuing college and otther life-changing experiences. Vanderbilt U. BS(EE) 1967, MS(EE) 1968. While a freshman, I married the California girl I fell for while stationed there. Our delightful daughter arrived a year later and I was a very happy, extremely busy, father and electrical engineering student. I did much better this time around in school, graduated near the top of my class, and was authorized to remain in Nashville for graduate school. The month that I left Vanderbilt, we were blessed with a healthy baby boy. We moved to Quantico, VA, with a 3 1/2 year old and a 3 week old infant, into an empty apartment with our furniture and pots and pans 2 weeks behind us.
