Chuck's Story
Life
After High School, attended 4 schools in five years, with 4 majors. Ended up graduating from Fitchburg State with a degree in Marketing.
Worked in a family business for a year before getting into a small marketing firm that dealt mostly with high tech. Have worked at Chipcom (acquired by 3COM), SQA (acquired by Rational Software), Prominet (acquired by Lucent), and finally ArrowPoint (acquired by Cisco).
Being at a big company sucked ass, and I basically decided I had to get out of Dodge before going postal. So, I started dabbling in Internet marketing, and learned enough to get out of Cisco for good in the Fall of 2003. After about 3 years of being on my own, I went back to the corporate life at a small company called Brix Networks in Chelmsford.
I've been married since 1990 to an Ashby chick - Michele Gaudet (even though I don't remember her fro...Expand for more
m high school). We met when I was at Fitchburg State, and dated for five years before getting married. Man, seems like such a long time, but at least I'm with someone who puts up with my considerable amount of crap.
We have 2 wonderful kids -- Marissa, born in 1995, and Carson, born in 1998. We moved back to Pepperell in 1998, and now my kids are in the North Middlesex school system (teachers beware). It's also been fun getting involved in the local sports and kid's activities, because I get to see some of the folks I grew up with raising their kids and having to deal with the things we did to our parents way back when.
I hope everyone is happy and healthy, and I look forward to seeing some of you at the 35th reunion. I went to the 30th, and believe me... it wasn't all that bad. Just getting to reconnect with some folks who you haven't seen in a while.
