hi, this is some of my story. my senior year at satellite high was interrupted by my dads' transfer to johnson space center in houston, texas. after 5 days living there, i left and hitchiked back to satellite beach, florida. i lived for awhile with the Dorsey family. mrs. Dorsey was the librarian at satellite high. make a long story short- things didn't work out... so in may of 1972 i joined the u.s.army. my basic training was at fort ord, CA, after 10 weeks i recieved a 3day pass(because i was the top person in the physical training test of the whole battalion-481pts out of 500). then for AIT i was stationed at ft. huachuca, AZ. 8 weeks later i graduated, got 1 week leave, then it was off to my duty station- Baumholder, Germany. my mos(job) was 17k20- radar operator. after a close friend was severly injured playing war games; i wanted out. so with the help of a homey JAG officer and alot of b.s. i wrangled a general/honorable discharge,46A-apathetic attitude towards military life. it was a heck of a roller coaster ride. after being discharged in june of 1973, i hitchiked around the east coast, visited friends and all kinds of different places. ended up in birmingham, AL., where i lived with my nana(grandmother). had a couple crap jobs, then met a contractor, became a carpenter and moved to ft. walton beach, FL. After about 6 mos. framing/bldg. condos moved back to birmingham and became an electrical apprentice. i'm still in the electrical construction trade-I.B.E.W. local 332 as an inside/outside journeyman wireman. my first marriage was in 1974 to a girl who lived next to my nana in birmingham. it only la...Expand for more
