Chuck's Story
Life
I was born in the old Riverside down near the N.N.shipyard. It was torn down
in 2008. I attended Grafton Bethel Elementary in 1st grade,then Seaford Elementary School,then Yorktown Intermediate and last but not least York High School.
After High school I attended TNCC. I worked in retail for for 16yrs with Murphys Mart which was bought by Ames and that company closed up in 1993.I went back to school for a short time from 1993 to 1994.I then worked in the pool business for 5 years at Anchor Pools from 1994 to 1999 and then Harper and company for 2yrs from 2000
to 2002.
After the pool business and I got at job working for Empire Machinery and Company from 2002 to 2007
I lost my job Nov.07 after we lost its contract with the ship yard.

from Nov.2007 until March 25 2009 was laid off.
I,m still looking for a job since 3-25-09 and will soon be homeless due to the fact that my mom left me the house when she passed away with a reverse morgage
of $273,000.00.
I also was involved with WYCS the YHS radio station for 20 years as a volunteer and was the last person on the air when the York county schools decided to trash it and it came to a end on Dec.4, 1997 at 2pm. I have been a volunteer in York Seaford Youth Football League for over 21 years as the field manager,game announcer, and also as Spike the Bulldog. This league is for kids 6 to 14. I also helped a committee to plan the YHS Golden Jubilee 50 year celebration that was held at YHS in June 2004.
