Chuck's Story
Life
Boy, it sure did take me a long time to get my priorities sorted out and stop taking myself so seriously. I spent most of my high-school and college days proving how delinquent and selfish I could be. Dropped out of college to take a big-shot job... lost the big-shot job and ended up doing a ho-hum job for 15 years. I learned a lot of great lessons, though. I grew up enough to figure out that I didn't have to be a grown-up all the time.
For those wondering, I finally got a drivers license (now I commute way too much!) I live on a small town I like (Blanchard, OK), with a big yard I like, and wife and kid I love. Life's turned out okay.
When I'm not working, I spend time with family, work out (taekwondo), ride roller-coasters, read, play videogames or sing.
School
I guess for me, school was pretty much unremarkable. Thing...Expand for more
s were going well until I decided to let my grades slip... probably so I could fit in with the wrong crowd. Could've been worse.
College
Yeah, I went to CSU... for about three semesters. I ended up having to drop the last one because I goofed off too much. I did have a good time with the choir, though. I still keep in touch with some of my college friends.
Workplace
(2006 Update): My previous profile showed that I was working at Hertz Rent-a-Car. I did that for over 19 years, working in various positions. Last year I quit the desk job and started a new career as a catastrophe insurance adjuster, so now I chase hurricane damage. What was I thinking? :)
My wife and I also started a karaoke/D.J. kinda of business with a wickedly loud sound system. So far it's more for fun than for money, but who knows how that will turn out.
