Chuck's Story
After graduating from Conestoga Valley in 1966, I went to Ursinus on a partial basketball scholarship and graduated in 1970. I immediately went to work for the large pharmaceautical company, Wyeth, at there largest plant in Great Valley, PA. The plant was located near Immaculata Womens College where I met Susie Brons through a friend of Jim Supplee. and could have gotten married then, but was very far from being ready to settle down. I was an accountant for Wyeth and was fortunate to relocate 3 times for them and ended up in Vermont in 1983. I stayed there in the beautiful state and retired in 2005 when the infant formula plant I was the CFO in was sold, as Wyeth got out of...Expand for more
the Domestic formula business. As I did not marry over the years (close only once), I was fortunate enough to be able to afford to retire at age 56. I now spend summers in Vermont and winter in Florida playing golf 4-5 times a week. I have raised 3 Irish Setters and still have Miles Standish (rescued from Irish Setter Rescue) who is 11.
I have always been interested in the Far East and have been to China 3 times and seen many sights (Great Wall, Panda bears, etc.) and met some very interesting people, including a number of women. I now chat often with them on line and hope to visit again in the future. Hoping to hear from old friends....especially Susie Brons...hehe...
