Cindy's Story
Life
After high school, I returned to Iowa and recieved a BA in Management/Marketing and German. To do that, I had to spend a semester abroad. I lived most of 1993 in Schorndorf, Germany. Upon return, I started dating my then friend and current husband, Mark. Only took us 9 years to get to the married part (Nov 2002). He went active duty army shortly after and treated me to almost 4 years living in Germany. We just welcomed our first addition to our family, Rory, in March 2006. ents while we figured out "what now?" I was hired locally so we'll see what its like to live here a bit instead of just visiting. (who'd 'a thunk - I worked so hard to leave here. Love of family makes you change your priorities.)
Workplace
Since college, I've been mostly in marketing with stints in bridal gown sales, working at a SummerFest "bar", and working as instructor and program manager with an Army education center. After 13 years in business careers, I made a serious career change and started teaching high school German in 2007. Been quite a change!! I also teach some jewelry making.
