Cindy's Story

I was with the hippie crowd in high school, the wall flower. I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I ended up going to work for Sharpe Army Depot and meeting my soulmate. Unfortunately, I lost him to Leukemia in 1997. Riding my motorcycle helps me blow off steam. At 70 MPH I can scream and no one knows, it feels sooo good. To relax I like to swim or go horseback riding, or just sit and read a good book or watch a comedy movie. Or just chill with good friends God is my hero and His Word (the bible) is my inspiration! I couldn't wait to move away from Tracy but after 3 months in Stockton, My husband and I moved to Manteca. Been here 29 years and counting. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my church, then spend the rest on family, friends and the homeless. Of course I would also pay off my bills and travel all over the world (especially to Germany to see my niece, her husband and their kids for longer than the 3 weeks I'm going for this coming Christmas and New Year). I would be in Heaven at Gods feet with my loved ones that have gone ahead, but in Gods timing and hopefully not for some time yet! :-)...Expand for more
My current age is 50. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old, like I feel sometimes. I was so completely half right but half wrong, age is only a number. And while I may be getting older I refuse to grow up!. To retire and enjoy life! My first crush ended when we moved and he stayed. My best friend would tell you I'm a true friend, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy. Yes, Jeans and a T-Shirt I share my home with God, which I find inspiring. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by working now.. That would be Teri who in a previous life had to be my sister. We met at Sharpe Army Depot in 1977 and were inseparable till we met our husbands, well even after meeting them, they had a hard time with us always on the phone with each other after working together all day. They just finally gave in and became good friends themselves, then the 4 of us did everything together till my husband died, the 3 of us still do things together and my best friends husband calls me his second wife only in fun though, NOTHING else. We've always been able to tell each other everything knowing that neither of us would judge the other, just listen.
