Cindy's Story
Gosh, how did we end up middle-aged? Weren't we just 16! HA! Well I have been pretty lucky in life. Married the first time very young at 19, had my son at 23 and got divorced at 25. Stayed a single mom for a LONG time, went back to school and got my BA in marketing and raised my son. Remarried 13 years ago and now have a stepdaughter 23, and we had a daughter together who is 12. Have been a stay at home mom since then and have recently returned to painting which is really exciting for me. When I was married the first time I dabbled in oil painting mostly producing landscapes. Now I am working in acrylics and found my niche which is abstracts! Happier now then I have ever been!
My son is 28 and getting married this October. He is a vet of the AF and current member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. Works M-F as a crew chief on the F-15 Strike Eagle.
My daughter is 23 and just finishing up her Masters in Economics at Rutgers. She is living in NJ where she bought her first home last year.
My youngest daughter is 12 and is in 6th grade. She lives and breathes horses. She has been taking riding lessons since she was 7 so she is pretty good at it! I still have a mini heart attack every time she does a jump but ...Expand for more

My husband is a great guy. Perfect for me because he is not a cling on! Had my share of men who felt they could not function unless I was within a foot of them! NO THANKS! Like the self sufficient ones that can think on their own! He is big into Harley's and is always bugging me to join him. Used to like bikes when I was younger but now they scare the heck out of me. I think dumping one in my driveway a few years back was enough for me to remember how much road rash hurts!
We live in the Berkshires where there is nothing but trees and nature. No business, not red lights and no traffic jams. We like the peaceful life and enjoy having moose and bear stroll through our yard. I like spending summer days working in my garden then jumping in for a quick swim to cool off. Travel when we can. Even though I will always hate flying there is no way around it :(
The future... I want to continue to paint, travel and hopefully some day write the next great historical novel. When the last one is raised and gone hoping hubby and I can be the typical RV retired couple. Would love to be able to take my time and just hit all the great little towns, historical sites and hidden treasures in the good ole USA!
