Cindy's Story

Life A lot can happen in 30 years (my goodness, has it been that long?????). I've gotten a BS degree in Health Information Management. I am a medical coder who works from home. How sweet is that? I have three certifications: RHIA, CCS and CCS-P. Basically, that means I know my stuff. :) School Mrs. Wanda Carpenter was, by far, the teacher who stretched me the most. I owe my "A" in English classes in college to her. I think that my fondest memories are those of marching band. I went to all the football games, something I would most likely not have done had I not been in band. Although our football teams didn't win championships, that didn't stop them from playing good football. I still remember some of the cheers, ...Expand for more
too: "Go back, go back, go back into the woods..." I married the love of my life, Rob Phyfer (Parkview class of 1994), in 2009 and haven't looked back. :) The unfortunate part of growing older is that you have to lose loved ones. My brother passed in 1995. My dad passed in November 2009, just over a month after I got married. At least I got to have him walk me down the aisle. I still have my mom, and for that I am very thankful. Well, that's all I have to say for now. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm not the same person ya'll knew in high school. I would love to hear from everyone...maybe start some friendships that never could be started in high school because we were so caught up in appearances and cliques.
