September 2016 -
Past Life - Swim instructor; Nellie's waitress (server) ;) lifeguard - Angle Lake, Lake Meridian; beach manager at Angle Lake......
and - WWSC for 3 years, then..
Swim supervisor for special needs kids & adults in San Jose, CA; Turkey House server; then -
Royal Banker in Vancouver, BC; newspaper special projects in Quesnel, BC; drugstore in Calgary, AB, and now office administrator for JBK Pottery in Calgary.
During this time married two Canadians....not at the same time! :o)
Got a nose ring in 1975 before it was popular. Am kinda ticked that it's popular now. ha!
Currently married to Ken (middle kid of NINE) for 36 years...yikes.....He was with the Royal Bank of Canada, and was transferred often! Now he's a Journeyman Plumber and likes it better than banking!
Have two amazing kids - James 33 married to his high school sweetheart ...Expand for more
Margaret, a Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter and a great athlete with a terrific sense of humor! (He needs it, bein' a Dad to 3 little girls) - Vanessa 30, has a double BA in Drama and Education, substitute teaches grade school and junior high (now that she's a Mama), married to her longtime boyfriend Jeff, and is a beautiful soul. They also have a little girl!
Granddaughters - Poppy Sophia - 6 years old; Clara Nightingale - 4; Willow Helena - 3, and Violet Halle - 1. Who knew bein' a Gramma would be so cool! - but exhausting? When I'm old and decrepit, I'll have 4 wonderful granddaughters to look after me! lol
As a dual citizen of Canada and the US, I've seen my beloved USA as others see us and judge us.
Life is a constant surprise....sense of humor a must!
I really do miss Seattle. I miss the ocean even more. :)
