Cindy's Story
Life
I'm currently in Salinas, California. I have 6 kids. 4-biological, 2-wonderful additions. The boys are 31,21,21 (identical twins) and the girls are 26,23,and 10. The middle four I take credit for bringing into the world, the other two I have been blessed to add to our family! I also have a 4 year old granddaughter. She has got to be that special ray of sunshine in every day! Most of the kids are close by. The eldest in in L.A. but visits on holidays!
I am working for an interior design/flooring consultant corporation in Salinas. My husband does as well. We run separate locations, it works out well. We have a lot in common, but we don't breathe down each other'e necks all day! The company we work for allows us to travel a lot and see the world, well a bit here and a bit there. Last year was 10 days in Australia...Expand for more
. That was quite an experience. We also like to travel quite a bit on our own, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada, through out the U.S. as well.
Mostly we like to hang with our kids, we still have family dinners and birthday celebrations all the time. My boys also work for me, so I get to see them a WHOLE BUNCH! It's really great, I'm just kidding.
My favorite way to relax is fun in the sun. My husband spoils me as often as possible with sunny get aways, Las Vegas, Miami, Mexico, and Palm Springs. Salinas is a lil' bit on the chilly side for me, you'd think I'd be used to it, I've been here almost 12 years. I guess I'm really just a Central Valley girl at heart.
When I get antsy, we pick up the paper and see where the sun is shining and jump on a plane...I thaw out for 2 or 3 days and return home. Hey...it's keeps me sane.
