Cindy's Story
That's one of those questions that are impossible to answer- how can I sum up a decade in a paragraph, ya know. The biggies are that I'm now married and have a 5 year old daughter named Nadia who is AWESOME beyond belief. I've basically been a stay-at-home mom until Nadia started kindergarten this fall (wahhh!!!) so I am finally finishing up my long forgotten about degree while she's at school. My husband, Ryan, is an active duty soldier in the Army and we're stationed at Fort Lee. We're hoping to move to Fort Carlson, Colorado and stay there until Nadia graduates from high school cause I am not having her change ...Expand for more
schools and suffer that kind of trauma. Plus the schools there are supposed to be incredible and I miss the 4 seasons.
We've been super lucky in that Ryan has not deployed although rumors are floating around that his unit maybe be going to Afghanistan in the spring- so cross your fingers with me that they're only rumors! Other than the mom thing I've been doing some rescue work with the stray and feral population in my vicinity but that's more of a passion than a job since I put out a lot of time and money and do not receive a paycheck, but something better which is knowing I am helping the neglected and voiceless.
