Cisley's Story
After graduating from Lane in 1974, I attended the School of the Art Institute (where I had been taking classes while I was at L.T.) After a year, I transferred to the University of Chicago, where I graduated in 1978.
I worked at The Art Institute Bookstore, the U. of C. Bookstore, then at a reprographics company, back at the Art Institute of Chicago, then the Milwaukee Art Museum, etc.

hought was a perfect combination of art, books and law. I'm still in that field today.
Sometimes I wonder why I was only given a choice of being in the Commercial Art program or the Music program at Lane, and told by an administrator that "You have to prove that you're good enough, for Lane, etc."
Where would I be today if I had been allowed into the Honors program (which I was very qualified for,) or into the Science & Math program? What's the point of making a 13 yr. old or a 14 yr. old choose a MAJOR anyway?
