Clarees's Story
I haven't lived in Minnesota since Bob (Bob Vesey - class of 66} and I relocated to El Paso, Texas in 1974. Since then we have lived in Kansas City, Missouri and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. In 1980 we moved for the last time to Arlington, Texas. Arlington is situated right in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth and. in 2009. the new home of the Dallas Cowboys.
I have spent the last thirty years in the public relations field. For nearly 20 years I was employed by the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Board in their Public Affairs Department. A typical day for me was anything but typical! It could be dealing with a U.S. Senator or a reporter, I could be planning an event for 1500 people or traveling to Washington D.C. to host a congressional dinner. I left the Airport in 1999 to join a public relations firm in Dallas where the primary focus of my job was reputation rehabilitation with a little speech writting thrown in for good measure.
Bob and I have two beautiful daughters, Alison and Heidi, who graduated from the University of Texas and, two handsome grandsons, Tyler, 9, and Carson, 4.

pending 33 years with American Excelsior Company, started his own business. Packtech, Inc., five years ago. He and his partner design custom packaging for many industries.
We are happy to say that we have made it back to Minneapolis for every 1966 class reunion and have had a great time seeing everyone again. Hats off to Steve Smith and others for the great job they did in 2006. We really didn't want to leave the party! And, if Suzanne, Lynette, Pat or Nancy read this, please send me an email. After getting all of your email addresses at the reunion and promising to stay in touch, your addresses never made it home with me and apparently were lost somewhere between Minneapolis and Arlington!
My mom at 87 is still alive and kicking in Columbia Heights and my sister Patti lives in Eagan. I try to get up to Minneapolis as often as I can to see them.
Minneapolis, even after all of these years, is still "home" for me and I still feel much saddness when my flight departs MSP for DFW. To my fellow classmates, I hope you're all doing well and I'd love to hear from from you so send an email if you get the chance.
