Life
Listing most significant public/community service and education listings only: Attended Durham Technical school and worked for the City of Houston as a surveyor until joined the USAF for active duty service for 4 years, 2 months and 1 day from '65 to '69 stationed at: Lackland AFB, San Antonio; Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls; 1st PCS at Houma, Louisiana for 2 1/4 years; Vietnam (volunteered) for 21 months stationed at Ton Son Nhut (Saigon) and Phu Cat (Qui Nhon) air bases. Then started college at San Jacinto College (AS) and transfered to Sam Houston State University attending until '73, gradating with Bachelors in Criminology (SCL). Went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice ('73-'75) then switched to the Texas Department of Public Safety to spend a career as a Trooper until retiring in October of '94 (stationed in Angelina, Trinity, and Travis Counties). ations of Bergstrom, Kelly and Lackland AFBs) with war zone service in the Persian Gulf (including Desert Storm). Taught many classes eith the USAFRes. Also, have college credits from Saint Edwards University (Law Enforcement) and Austin Community College classes as well the College of the Air Force (Transportion) and various courses and academies. Volunteer blood donor...presently at 25 gallons. Member of various academic, police, corrections, professional and military organizations, including the VFW and American Legion.
Got married in June of 2004 to the widow of a high school friend and fellow '63 grad, George A. Starks. I live in Austin, Texas.
