Clarice's Story
Hey All,
I really didn't graduate from Holy Cross. I would have had things gone right in my life at that time. I went to school #1 in 6th grade, and ran away from home at 14 yrs old. I learned things the hard way! My Mom suffered mental illness which caused me to grow up with no boundries. In kindergarden at Holy Cross I walked to school several times a day... wondering if it was time for me to be there! At that time I guess people didn't get charged with neglect. I loved my Mom very much, It wasn't her fault she was sick. My Dad worked two jobs and most of the time he didn't know if I was home or not. He owned the El Morocco tavern on Lakeview and Jersey, and worked for parks department. By seventh grade I went to 6 different schools. Things at home were chaotic, and explosive due to alcohol. My brother ...Expand for more
and sister also got in trouble due to lack of supervision. I thank God for the knowledge I had of Him. I don't believe I'd be alive to share my story if it wasn't for the knowledge I had of God. I certainly called on Him in my distress. I've come a long way since those days. God blessed me with a wonderful husband, and 4 great children.
I also have 8 grandchildren, and one greatgrand child. God has been good to me! In spite of it all... I'm so glad I continued to feel the need for God in my life!
My husband and I travel all across the U.S. we are full time RV'ers , and in a Christian Motorcycle Club call the Sons of God M.C. Its an awesome ministry that enables us to share the Lord with whosoever! I wanted to make some of the last reunions but found out the date after the fact. I hope to one day make it!
