Clark's Story
Life
After WJC, I went to Duke U., studied forestry and went to work for the US Forest Service. After a career there, I went back to school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and became a family physician. I also do urgent care
I retired in June, 2017, but became a bit restless and started doing some locums work part time. Later I was asked to come work for the Southern Peigan Health Center in Browning, MT. This outpatient clinic is owned by the Blackfeet Tribe and I work there part time as a staff physician. Have to say that I'm really enjoying being there. In August, 2021, Ole "tuff" me who was immune to almost every bug coming down the road, found out I wasn't immune to Covid. Spent 8 days on a ventilator and another two weeks in ICU before I could escape back to home. Now over 7 months after being discharged, I'm doing well but work is now a memory. I have retired - completely - . Never thought I'd work this long, but I really enjoyed being a physician and most of the time it didn't feel like work. So now, just planning on doing some travel and seeing more of the USA. and maybe some other places, God willing.
