Or, find me on facebook. Professionally: When I was 20 I left Midland for a few years while I studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and a school overseas for a year. After returning to the Tri-Cities and taking a job at the Saginaw Art Museum, I finally figured out that my degree/occupation as a fine art painter probably wasn't ever going to provide a stable income (go figure ;) ). I eventually found my way into the graphic design field and have been running a design studio for close to 25 years now. You can visit us online at designdirection.com. In my 30's I decided to return to grad school to finish my terminal degree, and I ended up as a design professor at CMU, and love teaching. I continue to be involved in the design business as well, and my wife Lynne runs the daily work-flow. Personally: I was married in my mid-twenties and have one child from that marriage. His name is Josiah and he is now 19 and is a Freshman at CMU. It looks like he will end up selecting a career in the creative field.
