Claudia's Story
Life
Retired from classroom teaching, after 35years, in 1982. Couldn't really stop teaching, so I began a 15 year career as the Humanities Instructor for the Martinez Adult School, leading discussion classes of senior citizens. Right now, that career has ended and I'm wondering what I should do next. At 82, my options are few.
I still live in the house I bought in 1968 after my home had burned. I currently am living with a rescued Cairn Terrier named Peggotty, brought out of a puppy mil...Expand for more
l by ARF after having seven litters. She is now 10 years old and going strong.
I intend to spend the rest of my days in Martinez. This town is a perfect place for me, it's like having a town full of cousins and I love it. Children I have taught are now grown up friends of mine.
I still rebel against unfairness and governmental excesses, and am often involved in local politics.
It has been a good life so far and I intend to enjoy the years I have left to the fullest extent possible.
