School
Not a large list of schools to tell about. Spent kindergarten through 9th grade with the exception of 6th grade in the same building. Saylor Elementary and Harding Junior High School. For 6th grade we were bused to Madison Elementary because of a lack of adequate room at Saylor. 10th,11th and 12th were spent at Des Moines Technical High School. What a fantastic experience. One year at Grandview College and schooling was done except for some military schools.
College

Workplace
Started working as a paper carrier for the Register and Tribune at the age of 12 and haven't looked back since. At 15 started at the Colonial Terrace Restaurant. At 18 it was Pepsi Cola. Worked at Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel for 2 and 1/2 years and returned to Pepsi for another year and a half. Retired from the City of Des Moines after 31 years in 2008.
Military
Spent 30 years with the 132 Fw Air National Guard in Des Moines, Iowa. Memorable trips included Italy, England, Germany, Gulfport Mississippi, Wendover Utah, Volk Field Wisconsin, Kuwait, and 4 trips to Incerlik Air Base in Adana Turkey. It was a great run and 30 years went so quickly.
