Clifford's Story
How to sum up 58 years? Tough! Bottom line is that it has been fun, fast paced, an adventure and most important - satisfying. AND, I would do it ALL over again!
EDUCATION:
Graduated H.W. Johnson HS and went on to Sacramento City then on to UC Davis with major studies in Economics, Computer Sciences and Enology plus minors in Music, German literature and military sciences.;
Honorary Faculty member at MIT Sloan Graduate School of Business (10 years) and guest Lecturer at the Hass School of Business (Cal) and Golden Gate University. Lecturing primarily on the evolution of payment mechanisms/electronic value exchange and predictive modeling/data mining (BI/AI)
CAREER::
Recruited to the Department of Justice from UC Davis to design and engineer Telecommunications and Justice Information Systems. (CJIS and CLETS)
Called up to active duty in 1971
Developed the VISA Check Card for VISA USA/International
