Clinshetta's Story
Life
I am doing well these days. I don't have any kids yet...I don't think I am done traveling and vacationing to commit to something as serious as full time child rearing.
I departed ways with the Active duty side of the Marine Corps in 2002 (shout out to Mike Mo- and Pretty as Nails Mike - haven't heard from you since I was in 29 Palms:))
I wanted a different challenge and being a civilian is an extreme challenge!! staying competitive with the current job market...whew! But I hanging in there. I am a Logistics Analyst for Electronic Data Systems Corp. in Va. I buy computers, servers and other related equipment for the Marine Corps and Navy...most of you active members may recognize the term NMCI...Navy and Marine Corps Intranet...so if you see my name on one of your shipments...don't wonder..that IS me...and it isn't MY fault if it doesn't work...haha. So what have you been doing for TEN years....?? Whoever, feel free to write me at pattersoncr2atyahooand let me know what's been going on in your life...obviously there wasn't a reunion or there wasn't anyone who wanted to notify me.hmmm?? Now, I live in Jacksonville, North Carolina. I guess I have to ditch the Redskins for the Panthers...
School
I had one boyfriend close to the end of high school. I sort of had this tomboyish type thing going on...messy hair, ratty clothes, recluse. BUT I had t...Expand for more
his crush on this one guy but I didn't tell him until maybe two years or more after we graduated...which I think he was feeling me (fa sho!)but didn't know how to tell me that he (I think) was getting over a relationship with someone we both knew...and didn't know what his next step would be....If you ever read this you know who you are...:) I guess you will always be my "Damn, what if you had come to visit me" fantasy....You fill in the visual! hahaha
Military
After I graduated high school I waved goodbye to Monroe, la!! I joined the Marine Corps and was on my own and in a different country before I turned 18!
It was a culture shock but I soon got over that QUICKLY!!! I was foot loose and fancy free!!! It was so liberating!!!
I have been to many countries like, Korea, Guam, Japan, etc...experiencing them all. I even ran into Michael Moore who was supposed to go in the buddy program with me and he didn't show until a year later...hint...where are you now, Mike. Quit hiding!
I also was in touch with another Mike (Tolliver) but I also lost touch with him...Hey Mike! You, I truely miss.
And I had a hard time with my personal life, so to get one, I felt like I had to pick one over the other...so, I married and 4 months later got out...It has been two years...do I regret it?...60/40 no. My traveling has subsided but I think I made the right choice...
