Clinton's Story
Life
Born in Philadelphia, PA Sept. 21, 1972; moved to Pensacola, FL around age 9, and lived there until I joined the Air Force in 1992. Graduated from Pine Forest High School (of course) in 1990, and tried college for a couple of years after that at the University of North 9th Avenue (PJC). :P Currently living in Wichita Falls, TX, stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base as an instructor of avionic mission systems to new Air Force personnel. I love to sing, write, draw, and exercise. The Air Force may not have been the first choice for my life direction, but I think it was a good one. I'm definitely in it for the long haul, and plan on enjoying my retirement.
School
High school had its memorable moments; our Varsity football team won the State Championship two years in a row while I was there. I also got to watch Emmitt Smith's younger brother Emory play football for our rival team, Escambia High. I made some good friends with whom I shared good times, but after I joined the Air Force, I lost touch with all of them. I hear one of my friends is still in Pensacol...Expand for more
a, doing well in his own business.
I probably wouldn't have ended up in the Air Force if I had applied myself more in school, but then again, I wouldn't be where I am now, and I have hardly a regret.
College
I attended PJC from Fall 1990 to Winter 1991, pursuing an Associate's Degree. I'm currently trying to finish it up, with about six credits to go. Hey, it's only taken fourteen years so far; maybe I'll actually make it! ^_^
Military
I've been in the Air Force since May of 1992. It's been great to me; I've been to some great places that I may not have ever visited otherwise. Scotland, Thailand, Canada, Italy...'course, I've been to some not-so-great places as well. Iraq, Uzbekistan, Louisiana (just kidding about that last one)...I'm currently stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, on the Texas/Oklahoma border. It's not too bad; definitely a culture shock and takes some getting used to, but this will be a great stepping stone for my career. I don't regret joining the military because I never would have had such memorable experiences.
