Clyde's Story
4 years at Iowa State, graduated June 55 with a BS Degree and commission as a 2d Lt, US Army, Field Artillery through ROTC. Entered active duty 24 Feb 56, Retired 1 Jan 84 as a full Col. Spent the next 18 yrs in business with my brother in law buying and selling antique cars. Closed that out in '03. Served 9 yr s on the Monticello School Bd, teach basic skills computer classes to adults through Kirkwood community college, Secy/Treas of the Monticello Heritage Association and currently co-ch...Expand for more
air of the campaign committee for a local candidate for state representative from district 31. Wife Bobbie and I live at 426 West 8th st in Monticello. 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Feelin good at 75!
Update: Celebrated my 80th in Dec '12. Still going strong. Our 60th Anniversary coming up next March. Playing music 3 places every week plus other special times. If I would have known turning 80 was so much fun, I would have done it a long time ago.
