Colleen's Story
College and work
Going off to college was very exciting and there was no better place to be than IU. I hate to say it but Amo HS hadn't really prepared me for the chemistry, physiology, and other subjects needed for my major compared to kids from other schools but I survived anyway. Marv went to ISU but he found a way to get from Terre Haute to Bloomington on most weekends! I went on to get a masters from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from Purdue and taught nursing and developmental psychology in sever...Expand for more
al universities. Marv got his Ph.D and his MD from the University of Minnesota and did further studies at IU and MSU. He practiced general surgery, trauma surgery, and surgical critical care in Indiana and Michigan and taught in several universities too.
Retirement
We have lived in Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin but we finally have settled in Northern Illinois where we spend our summers and our winters in Hilton Head, SC. Our son lives in Madison and our daughter and her husband live in Denver.
