Colleen's Story
After graduation I moved to El Paso, TX. I married in 1969 and had a baby girl in 1974, a boy in 1979 and another girl in 1982. Since I didn't go to college right after high school, I started at El Paso Community College and then transferred to University of Texas El Paso graduating in 1991 with a degree in Secondary Education with English and Reading as my teaching fields. sity of North Texas and received my master's in Library Science and became a librarian at the same middle school I began teaching at in 1991. After 22 years in the school district, I retired and returned to El Paso Community College as a librarian. So I guess you could say I went full circle.
Since I was never aloud to have a dog growing up, I'm making up for lost time and have 5 dogs right now. I have a trained Pet Therapy dog that I take to hospitals to visit the patients. I'm enjoying working part time and spending time with my dogs.
