Connie's Story
Life
After graduating from Eastern Washington University in 1983, I met my husband, Dave, in Germany in 1984 when we were traveling together with Malachi, an evangelism team working on military bases with young people throughout Europe.
I lived in Spain for a year teaching school after that, then spent a year at Multnomah Bible College in Portland. After dating Dave during those two years (yes, lots of letters and phone calls as he was living in Germany during that time!) we were married in Speyer, Germany in 1987, and lived there until 1993 when we moved here to the Czech Republic to begin Josiah Venture. We've been here almost 16 years.
I have three terrific kids: Tyler is nearly 19 and graduated from Czech high school this year (2009). He will go to Chicago in the fall to Moody Bibl...Expand for more
e college. Caleb is 16 and in 10th grade, and Claire is 14 and in 9th grade. I love that our kids are growing up not only bilingually, but bi-cultural as well. They all go to Czech school, and are fluent in the language.
We are here in the Czech Republic as missionaries with Josiah Venture, training youth leaders, discipling young people and shepherding our 180+ missionaries in 11 countries. My husband is the founder and director of our mission organization.
I have lived in Europe for 25 years now as a missionary, and can't imagine doing anything else that is more satisfying, more fun and more of a privilege than this! The Lord has blessed me far beyond what I could have ever imagined!
Wish I could be with you all at our 30th class reunion this summer! I do send my greetings though.
