Connie's Story
Presently living in KC Northland--moved from home at Lake Winnebago to an apt. Closer to daughter (30) and not too far from son (35) (both by previous marriage of 28 years to David Parrack).
My husband, Craig Hamilton, passed away in 2008, so my life is changing drastically. We met at Carfax in '95 where he was Chief Information Officer and I started as a temp. Married 11 years (together 13). Not only do I miss him terribly, by my life has been turned upside-down. My focus has to be to re-build and re-create. His death was sudden and the result of diabetes which he preferred to pretend he didn't have, and was a "wake-up call" to many.Update: in relationship with high school classmate almost two years.
I have worked in retail, secretarial real estate, and instructional positions; for Starbuck's (as a lark); and now have been unemployed for two years after some health problems and surgeries. Recovered and hope to find...Expand for more
a job with benefits soon. Update: worked at Dillard's with Estee Lauder for approx. 1 3/4 yrs until leaving to have time with new grandchild, etc. Will seek something flexible and/or part-time soon.
My intention is to begin painting again, since that's what my degree is in (surprise, surprise). I have also been singing for years--more recently as a jazz vocalist--and hope to get more involved in that.
My sister's family lives in the area, so she and I and her family get together often.
Among my favorite things are two cats: Skooter, my 14+ -year-old rescued tabby and Mira BELLA Blue, my 3-year-old Norwegian Forest Cat.
Planning to attend the 60th birthday party this Fall after missing many reunions! Would love to reconnect with old friends and find new ones as well.
Hope there will be other singles there!--tired of being the "fifth wheel!"--Update: HAD A BLAST and lots of reconnections continuing . . .
