Life
My family moved from Slater, Iowa right after 7th Grade. I visited our old home there last summer. It's amazing how the town has changed yet remains so very much the same in my memories. I remember Hobo Jungle, playing Monkees & the Beatles on the Juke Box at the cafe after school while eating french fries, twirling lessons after school, riding the bus to Huxley, and sleep overs and watchin...Expand for more

I have never forgotten all my friends at Slater -- and I wondered where you all ended up.
I graduated from a high school in Lincoln, NE. Married in 1977, had 2 children, divorced. Remarried in 1993 and had 1 more child plus gained a stepson. Now I have 3 grandchildren!
Would love to hear from anyone who attended Slater Elementary (1963-1968) and Huxley Jr./Sr. High.
